LSAW steel pipe (Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welding abbreviated as LSAW) is a professional expression term for LSAW steel pipe. It uses a single medium and thick plate as the raw material, and the steel plate is pressed (rolled) into a tube blank in a mold or a forming machine. The pipe is produced by submerged arc welding and expanded diameter.Based on its advantage of high reliability and safety performance, the LSAW pipe is widely used in various pipelines engineering and construction, even under the most severe condition, and also can be used in engineering of chemical industry, electric power, irrigation, construction and piling etc. The advantage of LSAW pipe for oil and gas pipeline: produce more thick wall thickness of pipes, max to 120mm.

Manufacturing Process of LSAW steel pipe

LSAW Steel Pipe Forming Method:
According to different molding methods, it can be divided into:
- UOE steel pipe
After pre-bending the edge of a single steel plate, it goes through processes such as U forming, O forming, internal welding, external welding, and mechanical cold expansion.
- JCOE steel pipe
According to "JCOE" pre-welding, shaping, and post-weld cold expansion.
- HME steel pipe
Shaping according to "CCO" mandrel rolling method, cold expansion after welding and other processes.
