SSAW steel pipe for steel casing is a spiral seam steel pipe made of strip steel coil as raw material, extruded at room temperature, and welded by automatic double-wire double-sided submerged arc welding process. The spiral steel pipe sends the strip steel into the welding pipe unit, and after multiple roller rolling, the strip steel gradually rolls up to form a round tube blank with an open gap. The pressing amount of the extrusion roller is adjusted to control the weld gap to 1~3mm, and the two ends of the weld are flush.
Spiral steel pipe has a simple production process, high production efficiency, low cost and rapid development. The strength of spiral welded pipe is generally higher than that of straight seam welded pipe. It can produce welded pipes with larger diameters with narrower billets, and can also produce welded pipes with different diameters with billets of the same width. The strength of spiral welded pipe is generally higher than that of straight seam welded pipe. It can produce welded pipes with larger diameters with narrower billets, and can also produce welded pipes with different diameters with billets of the same width. However, compared with straight seam pipes of the same length, the weld length increases by 30~100%, and the production speed is lower. Therefore, smaller diameter welded pipes are mostly welded by straight seam welding, while large diameter welded pipes are mostly welded by spiral welding.
