1. Chinese Steel Grades
Chinese steel grades begin with the letter Q, representing light rail rails. Q235 steel is a common carbon structural steel in my country, equivalent to the US A36 and Japan's SS400. Q345B is equivalent to the US A572 and Japan's SM490. Both steel grades offer excellent weldability and low-temperature toughness.
2. US Steel Grades
US steel grades are designated by a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. Common steel grades include A36, A572, A500, and A514. A36 is a commonly used carbon structural steel, A572 is a high-strength low-alloy structural steel, A500 is used for pipes, and A514 is a high-strength alloy steel plate with excellent wear resistance and workability.
3. Japanese Steel Grades
Japanese steel grades begin with "S." S20C, S35C, and S45C are
low-carbon steels suitable for manufacturing mechanical parts; S50C and S55C are medium-carbon steels suitable for various molds and cutting tools; and S60C and S65C are high-carbon steels suitable for high-strength parts.
