Surface Finish Options

The most common options include black steel, lightly oiled, and hot-dip galvanized finishes. Black tubes are widely used for indoor structural applications, while galvanized tubes provide enhanced corrosion resistance for outdoor, coastal, and high-humidity environments. Additional surface treatments can also be supplied according to project specifications or customer requirements.
Packaging and Delivery
To prevent damage during storage and transportation, EN 10219 rectangular tubes are typically bundled with steel straps and protected using plastic end caps, waterproof wrapping, or other packaging methods when required. Depending on the order quantity and destination, the products can be shipped in standard 20-foot or 40-foot containers, by bulk vessel, or through road and rail transportation. Customized packaging and marking are also available for export projects.
Inspection and Quality Control
All EN 10219 rectangular tubes should be manufactured and inspected in accordance with the requirements of EN 10219-1 and EN 10219-2. Before delivery, each batch typically undergoes a series of quality inspections to verify dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties, and weld integrity.

EN10219 Manufacturing Process
EN10219 rectangular tubes are manufactured using a cold-forming process followed by high-frequency electric resistance welding (ERW). After welding, the tubes undergo sizing, straightening, cutting, and inspection to meet the dimensional and mechanical requirements specified in the standard.
